What is In Da Cut?
In Da Cut is an barbering show launched in November 2019 on GRM Daily’s YouTube channel. The content involves rappers in a competitive amateur hair styling challenge and features appearances from Chip, Not3s and Headie One. Its original series ran to 2020 and was later revived in 2023 in collaboration with NFL UK.
In Da Cut Format
In Da Cut is recorded in Bucks Barbers and features either two or three guests per episode. The guests each have a fan as a volunteer to have their hair cut. They must then sign a release form, before the amateur barbers ask them what style they would like.
Through each episode G Cutz offers the guests advice, but they generally have the freedom to cut each person’s hair in any manner they decide. Once the time is complete he judges which he deems to be the best. Afterward the volunteers are given the opportunity to have their hair cut by G Cutz to correct any issues that may have occurred.
Through each episode the volunteers having their hair cut tend to be fans of the person cutting their hair. They are given the chance to ask their barber questions through the show.
