He has admitted that he struggled through school and left before sitting his GCSEs age 15.

Among Lewis’ associates as a youth was the rapper Blade Brown.

Lewis used to box, after leaving prison. He participated in two white collar bouts and was nicknamed Iron at the time.

In 2009 Lewis witnessed the shooting of his older brother Terry and his friend in a gang related incident. At the time Lewis believed his brother had died after being hit by multiple bullets. Terry survived the incident. Lewis was also present when a bouncer was shot in the head and killed next to him in his local area. As a result of both shootings Lewis has suffered from PTSD.

Lewis was involved in selling cannabis from at least age 14. Much of the dealing was conducted on a pedal bike in the local area.

From 2002 to 2010 Lewis was a member of the local O-Tray 1 (031) gang. Other prominent members include Tanna (who was also a founding member of PDC in Brixton). The gang was also closely associated with the G-Street, a music collective which included local people involved in street crime. G-Street is named after Gaskell Street, where many of the gang members were from.

In 2005 Lewis was arrested for his first botched robbery attempt and received a three-year sentence and spent 18 months inside. Within six weeks of his release he was arrested for possession of controlled substances with intent to supply and was sentenced for 10 months in prison. Soon after he was at a studio with a number of people including Flow Dan when he was arrested and later charged with murder. He was ultimately found not guilty.

In 2014 Lewis and his father were involved in a cash-in-transit robbery. Despite evading police at the time, they were charged several months later. Lewis received a 17-year sentence, for which he served 8 years in prison. The first year of the sentence was spent with his father as his cellmate. He was released in January 2022.
