What is No Behaviour Podcast?
No Behaviour Podcast is a lifestyle podcast hosted by east London-based friends Margs, Loons and Beano. The platform launched in January 2020 and features the pair in conversations with each other and guests, including associates such as T-Mac, Woodzy and those with a personal connection to them.
No Behaviour Podcast has been self-styled as “The People’s Podcast” by the hosts, as they view the platform as a means to reach like-minded people from a similar background. This is implied to include men born in the 1980s that may have spent time in prison, were involved in street crime and/or grew up in a major UK city.
No Behaviour Podcast episodes are released weekly as audio on Spotify and partially as videos on YouTube. Patreon contributors are able to access additional content from the podcast.
No Behaviour Podcast Hosts
No Behaviour Podcast is hosted by Margs, Loons and Beano, friends from Hackney in east London. Brent Colthurst is the podcast’s producer and is often heard off-camera contributing to conversations.
Margs
Margs is a media personality who came into the public eye thanks to his role as a prominent member of Mashtown, a rap collective from Hackney. Margs released music with Mashtown from 2004 and has released solo music since 2007. Margs has not released music since 2019, before suffering an aneurism and launching the podcast in January 2020.
Before No Behaviour Podcast launched Margs was established as a YouTube media personality thanks to his role as a core cast member of The Listening Party, an occasional guest on Filthy Fellas and a frequent guest on a number of podcasts.
On No Behaviour Podcast Margs takes the leading role in guiding the conversations and has described consciously think like a producer in each recording to complement Loons’ personality.
Loons
Loons had no media profile before the launch of No Behaviour Podcast. He has openly stated that before the podcast he had never had a job and that he has spent a significant amount of time in prison.
Loons was most recently in prison for most of 2019 for a drugs conviction. He was released in December of that year, within a month of No Behaviour Podcast’s launch. After his profile was raised Loons appeared on a range of YouTube platforms including Filthy Fellas and Just Hype.
On No Behaviour Podcast Loons is known for sharing anecdotes about experiences he has been through growing up in Hackney, dealings with the police and relationships with women. Loons often ignites arguments on the podcast and has walked off during recordings as a result of disagreements with Margs and/or guests.
Beano
Beano (also known as Beanos) joined No Behaviour in October 2022, after having been a part of the audio-exclusive version of the podcast previously. Beano also had no media profile prior to his first appearance on the podcast and, like Loons, had recently been released after a prison spell.
On the podcast Beano shares many insights about his life and experiences growing up in London Fields and the activity he was involved in during his youth. He’s also known for the phrase “If I’m lying, I’m flying”.
No Behaviour Podcast Format
No Behaviour Podcast General Format
No Behaviour Podcast is largely improvised. It is rare that there are any pre-prepared features, segments or topics. In each episode Margs, Loons and Beano have a conversation with each other, along with guests when they join them.
The platform uses a free flow format so discussions often drift from one topic to the next without any specific structure. The podcast is known for light-hearted, jokey conversations filled with stories and male perspectives on a range of relationship-based talking points.
As Margs, Loons and/or Beano are familiar with the majority of the guests featured on the podcast any occasion where other people are featured on the recordings, it does not impact the structure of the episode. They do not interview guests on their platform.
No Behaviour Podcast is recorded in THE NEW BLXCK Studio which run by Brent Colthurst, who produces the podcast.
No Behaviour Podcast Intro
The No Behaviour Podcast introduction is the only consistent feature of each episode. Over time the exact phrasing has evolved, but generally uses the following as a foundation for episodes (prior to Beano joining):
Margs: What we saying? We recording, yeah?
Loons: The pick me uuup
Margs: You are tuned in to No Behaviour, the people’s podcast. I am your host – 6 Foot plus of pure temptation, Big Margs from the east side of the bridge. You know me – filter done, bruk, mash up. I am here with the coldest co-host in co-host history
Loons: Bring it
Margs: The boy Loons
Loons: The street name, the finesse name. You know the rest, mayn:
Margs: AKA the Fruitpunch Papi
Loons: That’s the IG name
Margs: AKA Super Necessary
Loons: That’s a fact
Margs: AKA the Young Rottweiler
Loons: *barks*
Margs: AKA
Together: Yanamsayin’ (you know what I’m saying)
As the podcast audio is released on a Sunday, the extended introduction often includes Margs saying “I hope your Sunday’s going well” before describing what the listener may be doing on the day, including cleaning the house, preparing a meal and listening to Reggae and R&B.
Dilemmas
Dilemmas are submitted by the podcast’s listeners and priority is given to those who contribute to the podcast’s Patreon. The dilemmas are often relationship-based queries where the public desire Margs’ and Loons’ perspectives and advice on how to approach the situation.
On some recordings dilemmas are presented live with the contributors calling directly into the podcast.

No Behaviour Podcast Development
The idea for No Behaviour was conceived by Margs and was taken seriously after he suffered an aneurism in 2019. While Margs was in hospital, Loons was serving time in Isle of Man Prison. Once released from prison Loons went on holiday to Australia. The pilot of No Behaviour was recorded the week after he returned in January 2020.
The first recording of No Behaviour Podcast has not been published. It has been said that it was not broadcast as Loons was heavily intoxicated, although the subsequent first episode was released later in the month.
No Behaviour launched shortly before the first Covid-19 lockdown at which point episodes were recorded at home.
From October 2022 Beano was added to the line-up.
